Coming from exile with nothing to his name, Mabandla Mkhuseli, a former member of the African National Congress (ANC) has become a poor and wretched man. He lives in desolate condition, and no one seems to offer him the kind of assistance he so earnestly desires. He is embittered and furious that his former colleagues, who grabbed political power whilst he lived as a rudderless fugitive in Tanzania, have all deserted him. He feels helpless, with no hope of leading a good life in his fatherland. Desperate, angry and confused, he goes to extreme lengths to seek revenge. As time passes, a promising turning point comes his way, and he’s about getting a new life after meeting a loving and caring woman. Mabandla earnestly embarks on actualizing his lifelong dream, which is making the most memorable contribution to his community in honour of the memory of the late Hector Pieterson.
