Talos is a brilliant coder who has a vision to create the most advanced artificial intelligence program ever conceived. He leads a team of scientists and programmers who work secretly on the “Smart Mind” project, funded by the South African government. They believe that their creation will revolutionize the world, solving problems from poverty to climate change. But not everyone shares their enthusiasm. The project faces fierce opposition from trade unions, religious groups, and even some of Talos’s own colleagues, who fear that the Smart Mind will threaten human jobs, values, and identity.
